Logos Student Council is partnering with the Cambodian Volunteers for Community Development organization to collect toys for less fortunate children.  The toys can either be new or used in good condition. Participation is totally voluntary. If you have any toys to donate, Logos will be collecting them from November 26 through December 7.  Elementary students should bring the toys to their classrooms and Stu-Co will collect them. Note from School Nurse

Get Good Sleep

The push to finish well before Christmas break demands more attention on the part of parents. Research among students aged 15-17 years shows the benefits of good sleep in relation to school.

Less than 8 hr of time in bed during school nights was significantly associated with more sleep difficulties, wake time variability on school days and weekends, daytime tiredness, and less enjoyment at school. Sending and/or receiving text messages at night was significantly associated with later bedtimes, shorter time in bed, daytime tiredness during school, and irregular sleep habits. These findings highlight the importance of regular, consistent sleep habits and the problems associated with sleeping with a cell phone in the bedroom.

Blessed to serve our Students
