Gidday! I’m an Aussie (pronounced
Ozzie) and have been in Cambodia
at Logos since January 2007, when
I came for six months to teach third
grade. I hadn’t been here long when
I knew that this was where God
wanted me at this time in my life
and so six months became 2 ½
years. How long it will end up being
is in God’s hands!

I came to Logos as a beginning teacher and I think that some days
I learn as much as I teach. Before I came to Cambodia I worked for
the Queensland Government for 20 years in a variety of
administrative positions with the Health Department. Outside of work
I was actively involved in my local church, and children’s ministry has
always had a part in my life. Previous qualifications include
a Bachelor of Business (Communication) and a Graduate Certificate
in Management. I recently completed requirements for a Graduate
Diploma in Education (Middle Years) from the Queensland University
of Technology.

In January 2002 I went on a short-term mission trip to help with
childcare at a mission conference in Thailand and my life hasn’t
been the same since. At that time I heard God’s call to work with
missionary kids in a longer term capacity and so started the journey.
In January 2006 I visited a friend in Cambodia and while I was here
visited Logos. I liked what I heard and saw, and was excited to be
offered the opportunity to join the staff in 2007.

There are many joys in teaching at Logos, but the greatest is
the freedom to share my love for Jesus with the children in my class,
and to see them learn to know and love Him. I pray that God will use
me to help my students become His servants in a world that needs
His light. Working at Logos gives me the opportunity to not only
impact on the lives of missionary children, but also on Cambodian
children, and that makes it a huge privilege and responsibility.

Outside school, I love to read, swim, scrapbook, and play music.
I praise God for the opportunity He has given me to serve Him in
Cambodia and pray that I will be worthy of His call.
