Hello Grade 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 Parents:
All of our teachers will be in the multi-purpose room and you can drop by to meet with your child's teachers. There will not be scheduled appointment times, but you can meet all of your child's teachers in an open format similar to Back to School Night. We ask that you keep your conversations to 15 minutes so other parents can also talk to the teacher as well. We really hope you all will come to discuss your child's progress at Logos.
The open times will be:
Thursday, October 19 (3:30-5:30 pm)
Friday, October 20 (1:00-3:30 pm)
I emailed a google form to all Secondary Parents to fill out if you will be attending the conference. This will help teachers prepare for these meetings.
If these times do not work for you, please email me (firstname.lastname@example.org ) and I can find another available time for you to meet with teachers. You can also email me and let me know what day you will be attending the conference along with your child's name.
On Friday, October 13, the Logos Student Council will hold a school-wide dress down day. The money collected from this event will go to support The Abraham and Sarah Ministry. They will use the money to provide school supplies to approximately 1,888 impoverished students in four primary schools in the Kompong Trabek District of Prey Veng Province. The minimum dress down donation is 2,000 riels, but we encourage students and teachers to give generously to support education in Cambodia and The Abraham and Sarah Ministry.
Dear Parents,As you may know Cambodia will hold a general election in 2018. This is set for 29th July. In the past there have been protests and demonstrations before and after the election day. A number of organisations, including Asian Hope are concerned about how this may affect us and the families at our schools. I have spoken to other school leaders as well to see what they are doing. Some schools usually start later than we do anyway and others are deliberately changing so that they start later.
This is what has been decided for Logos / AHIS:
As there may be cause for concern within Phnom Penh after the election due to demonstrations that may escalate to violence and disruption to travel, we will start school later in August than we originally planned in the calendar. We will need to condense our new staff orientation as well.
It will look like this:
August 6th - 10th: Orientation for staff
Monday, August 13th: New student orientation day
Tuesday, August 14th: First Day of School - School begins for all students
The 2018 - 19 school year will continue to be 180 days for students. We will work on that calendar as soon as we can and share it with you. The annual tuition fees will continue to be split into 10 monthly payments for you convenience and the first payment will be due on 1st August as usual.
There will be more information about this nearer to the time but we wanted to let you know about the later start date as soon as we had made the decision.
Please forward any concerns or other information to Pam Sephton Director of Education, email@example.com

Note From the Nurse:
Remember: To help keep our students and staff as healthy as possible, we ask that students should not come to school if they had a fever of 38.0 C or over in the last 24 hours. Giving fever reducing medication to keep the fever down is not considered not having a fever. The student is still sick and is considered contagious. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. If you have any questions, please feel free to speak with me or the office.
