September 1st Progress Report
September 9th LPA Family Fun day
September 18th - 22nd Pchum Ben Holiday
Thank you so much for your prayers and support this semester as we have been looking for a new Elementary Principal. Helen, Philip and I have so appreciated your patience.
Well the good news is that we have appointed a new Elementary Principal... Mike Belloni.
He worked with Asian Hope in the Teacher Training Program from 2013 - 2015 and lived here for one year with his wife Kirsten. They have 2 grown children and an adopted grandchild from Ukraine. They currently live in Alaska. Mike will come to Phnom Penh in November during the Biola Training days to get settled and meet everyone. He will then return to Alaska until January when he will officially take up the position of Elementary Principal.
Mike has a BME in Music and English Education, a BA in Theology and a Masters in Music Education. Mike had grown up in Colorado and taught for five years there before moving to Alaska, where he became a commercial salmon fisherman and taught elementary general music in the Anchorage School District. He left the classroom after 21 years in 2007 to become the Music Curriculum Coordinator for ASD [Anchorage School District]. He then transitioned out of the music field and joined the ASD Professional Learning Department in 2010 as a "training specialist," primarily working with the district’s mentoring program. Since then Mike has been involved in state-wide initiatives in PLCs, mentoring, standards-based assessment and reporting as well as continuing his role in leading professional development.
Helen, Philip and I are very excited to welcome Mike to the Logos Leadership Team, to the Logos community and to Asian Hope.
God is good!
Pam Sephton, Director of Education for Asian Hope

As we begin the school year, here are a few reminders.
In all grades, all medication taken at school must be given through the school nurse.
If an elementary student needs to take medication at school, the medication needs to be handed to an adult (never give the child to bring to school).
For all grades, to be able to take medication at school, a parent signed note needs to be sent from home given permission AND all medication needs to be labeled with what the medication is, what the medication is for, the dosage, the amount to be taken, how often, and preferably a visible expiration date.
If a student is showing signs of a communicable disease, they should stay home. If they are at school with the symptoms, a parent will be asked to come and pick up their student.
The symptoms include:
If you have any questions, ideas, or health concerns regarding your child. Please contact email@example.com or logos office at 016544467
