Khmer Teacher Assistant Granted Scholarship…

Logos extends hearty congratulations to Sophorn Lim, the Kindergarten teaching assistant,
upon her acceptance to the IVEP (International Volunteer Exchange Program).
 
This is Sophorn’s third year of serving at Logos.  Sophorn originally worked at Kindercare for three years and
then began working as a teacher assistant at Logos.  Sophorn has actively pursued her own higher education
in Cambodia and learned valuable teaching skills from teachers at Logos.  She is excited to pursue this new
opportunity through IVEP which will place her in a classroom in the United States.  Sophorn will be working as
a teacher’s assistant at a primary school in Pennsylvania.  The purpose of the program is to learn about a new
culture and exchange experiences, learn new techniques of teaching, and see how a typical classroom works
in the United States.  Sophorn is excited about living with an American family and interacting in American
society.  She hopes to leave this August and return to Cambodia after one year.  We wish the Lord’s blessing
and guidance upon her future.
